BIM: Building Information Modeling with Revit-Software (English)

Building Information Modeling

Überblick

Überblick

Overview

Building Information Modeling (BIM) digitally captures all key data related to a building and links it centrally. Everyone involved in the construction project has access to the relevant plans and can simulate and compare different options. The BIM method is becoming increasingly widespread in the construction industry and is often mandatory for federal government contracts.

Learn the basic principles of this innovative planning method through hands-on experience!

“I’m very satisfied. The course was structured in a very balanced way: The theoretical fundamentals were covered in detail, yet presented in a way that was easy to understand and concise. I especially enjoyed the hands-on exercises with Autodesk Revit, where we were able to apply what we’d learned right away.”

Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Lutz Gableske, graduate BIM (German)

Study Objective

Our BIM-Revit Course provides you with the practical expertise you need to use BIM, as well as an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework.

Thanks to the numerous practice sessions, you’ll be able to put your knowledge into practice!

As part of a planning team, you will use the BIM software Revit to create floor plans, place elements such as walls and windows, define roofs and structural systems, and design facades. You will learn how to use clash detection to avoid overlaps between different building components and trades. You will learn how to develop and present designs, as well as how to create and export 2D plans.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of construction/architecture

Target audience

  • Construction Planners
  • Architects
  • Civil Engineers
  • Property Managers
  • Contractors or
  • employees in public sector construction departments

Faculty

The BIM-Revit Course is taught by professors who, have many years of practical experience with the BIM method and Revit software, as architects and civil engineers.
